Certified Chocolatier
Chocolatecture
In 2005, Kathleen Grandfield fell
under the spell of the Mayan Gods on one of her visits to San Miguel
de Allende. Upon returning to the states, Kathleen and her daughter,
Courtney, who is an artist, decided to channel their creative energy
and launch a line of novelty chocolates and truffles on a seasonal
basis. They were an immediate hit.
She decided to take things a step further and began taking formal
classes in early 2007 to become a Certified Chocolatier. She
graduated in the summer of 2007 with honors.
Kathleen views her chocolates as a
great medium to express her artistic creativity. All of Kathleen’s
chocolates are made to order in small batches paying special
attention to what her clients needs are.
Her experimentation and adventurous
use of premium ingredients are her “homage” to her culinary
heroes…Grandmother Rosa and her Mother Mary Alice.
ˇBuen provecho!

Jewelry Designer
Designer, Red Texture
Kathleen Grandfield is
a jewelry designer inspired by a passion to create, an intuitive
knowledge of fashion and resilient entrepreneurial spirit. Her
European ancestry, French influenced education and travels lay the
groundwork for a natural, evolving talent in fashion and design. It
was while living and working in London that Kathleen began
collecting vintage jewelry and first conceived her own handcrafted
line. Incorporating retro components into contemporary design proved
to be a winning combination, reflective of her dual appreciation for
classic nostalgia and modern style.
Kathleen’s
forte is her “one of a kind’ jewelry creations, as unique and
individual as each clients’ design and color preference. Her
commissioned pieces perfectly accessorize any mood or occasion,
whether casual or haute couture.
Kathleen’s ability to use the rare and timeless elements has become
an exquisite trademark of her line. She also offers limited edition
designs with all the handcrafted detail and quality of signature
works.
